Community Safety Notice – Cold-Call Sellers in St Margarets

Dear Residents,

Please be aware of young males (approx. 16-18years old) who have been going door‑to‑door in the area attempting to sell various products - including garden tools and household cleaning products.

At approximately 1800hours today, two males were stopped by Safer Neighbourhood Officers while patrolling on Sydney Road, St Margarets. The individuals did not have a valid permit to sell these items.

Officers provided words of advice and instructed both males to leave the area immediately.

Residents are reminded:

Legitimate doorstep sellers must hold a valid certificate or trading permit.

If you are unsure about a caller, do not engage or allow them entry.

Report any suspicious behaviour via 101, or 999 in an emergency.
